Families in Canada Conference 2019–2020 Updated Report Now Available!

(March 20, 2020) Over the past year, the Vanier Institute of the Family hosted the Families in Canada Conference 2019–2020 – a national, pan-Canadian conference and regional satellite events co-hosted by university partners across Canada. These events provided delegates with opportunities to enhance family research capacity and leverage the momentum of existing projects and initiatives under way in Canada. Participants gathered to connect with others who study, serve and support families to form robust knowledge and resource networks, and to collaborate and share interdisciplinary research and cross-cultural/cross-sectoral insights on families in Canada.

In August 2019, the Vanier Institute published a report for the Families in Canada Conference, featuring recaps of these exciting and catalytic events. Now, following additional asynchronous satellite events held in late 2019 and early 2020, we’re releasing the final, updated Families in Canada Conference 2019–2020: Conference Report.

Available below, the conference report provides an inspiring and visually engaging overview of this exciting series of events, which includes photos taken in Ottawa and the satellite events, feedback highlights from delegates and stakeholders, and new content about the two asynchronous satellite events held at the University of Calgary and Concordia University.
