Key findings from a study on immigrant families and housing

Housing affordability is a growing concern in Canada. Racialized groups, low-income, and recent immigrants have been identified as vulnerable populations in the housing market.
This study looks at how housing affordability affects homeownership and forming independent households within five racialized immigrant groups in Canada.
This research builds on our growing understanding of the Family Identity component of the Vanier Institute’s Family Diversities and Wellbeing Framework.
