Key findings from a study about intergenerational caregiving experiences of Canadian Chinese immigrant mothers
While there have been many studies examining motherhood, there is a gap when it comes to how intergenerational caregiving shapes the motherhood experience.
This study examined the impact intergenerational caregiving had on Canadian Chinese immigrant mothers’ early experiences of motherhood during their zuo yuezi period.
This research builds on our growing understanding of the Family Identity component of the Vanier Institute’s Family Diversities and Structure Framework.
