When tragedy strikes, families and communities come together to provide care and support to one another, friends, neighbours and complete strangers.
We’ve already seen this once again as we witness a clear demonstration of community strength and resilience, including in and around the Vanier Institute office in Nepean, which has been without power since Friday’s storm, and remains closed until further notice.
Our Emergency Preparedness Strategy and our Business Continuity Protocols are in place. Operations will continue as the Team works remotely while clean-up and repair in the area are ongoing.
Family, friends and community are the rainbow after the storm, whether it’s a tornado, ice storm, flood or wildfire. Canadians are resilient, our communities are strong and our relationships will help get us through whatever life or nature brings us.
We wish all those dealing with aftermath of the storms in the National Capital Region the best during this time of reflection, restoration and rebuilding…
