SDG 13: Climate Action

The climate crisis is increasingly having an impact on families around the world, as changing weather patterns, rising sea levels and extreme weather events are affecting the safety, sustainability and livelihoods necessary for families to thrive.

More and more, the consequences of climate change are being felt in Canada, with recurring wildfires threatening communities in Alberta and British Columbia, melting permafrost affecting infrastructure development in northern regions and rising ocean levels and increasing storm intensity disrupting fisheries and tourism industries in Atlantic Canada as reminders of its impact from coast to coast to coast.

To tackle a global issue that transcends borders, SDG 13 aims to take urgent action to combat climate crisis and its impacts.
