Following a nearly 12-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces, Malcolm Johannesen has worked with diverse organizations including Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada and the Correctional Service of Canada. He currently serves as Regional Manager, Child and Family Services at Indigenous Services Canada in Edmonton, where he leads a team dedicated to supporting First Nations children and families in Alberta.
Malcolm’s volunteer work has focused on supporting military and Veteran families like his own. His roles have included Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre and Vice-Chair of the National Military Family Council, as well as Director of the Edmonton Garrison Military Family Resource Centre, and Director of the Edmonton John Howard Society.
Malcolm holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Fredericton and a Bachelor of Arts from the Royal Military College of Canada.
