Maha Fakih is a sustainability advisor at Concordia University. She is working on enhancing the sustainability practices of both the Concordia University Foundation and the University’s pension portfolios.
She previously worked as an investment analyst at the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, where she was part of a team that managed the foundation’s portfolio and shifted it toward fully responsible investments. Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, she moved to the UAE to take courses in finance at Abu Dhabi University. In 2012, Maha moved to Montreal to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Commerce, specializing in Finance and the Sustainable Investment Professional Certificate from Concordia University. She is currently pursuing her Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Maha has also contributed to the development of the Sustainability Ecosystem at Concordia University.
Aside from working at the Foundation, Maha is also a member of Lebanese International Finance Executives (LIFE), the CFA Montreal Society and Helem Montreal, an organization that focuses on educating and fighting homophobia in the Arab-speaking community of Montreal.
