Executive Assistant and Governance Coordinator
Christine McPherson joined the Vanier Institute in October 2021 as Executive Assistant and Governance Coordinator. She brings with her a wealth of experience supporting Boards and Executive Management Teams. Christine is a performance-driven, highly resourceful and analytically inclined “administrative professional” with comprehensive experience in instituting organizational strategies for efficient business operations, managing multiple projects, and developing policies, systems and procedures.
She recently worked with a large Indigenous not-for-profit organization supporting the Board of Directors and the Executive Director. She shared a passion with the Board and Executive Team for helping families and vulnerable people and often stepped outside of her role as Executive Assistant to volunteer for family well-being events and at the local Inuit Food Bank.
Before this, Christine worked in Doha, Qatar with global international companies that were establishing their presence in the Middle East. During her 10 years in the Middle East, she worked to build systems for Governance, Management, Administration and People Management.
She is passionate about people, families, the vulnerable, inclusion and diversity.
