Issue Brief: Families, Disability, and Wellbeing in Canada
An overview of the wellbeing of families with disabilities in Canada
Families play a crucial role in supporting the wellbeing of persons with disabilities, but providing care often poses unique challenges that can affect family wellbeing. Many families with disabilities are vulnerable to poor wellbeing, and there remain gaps in our understanding of their experiences and how to support them.
In this Issue Brief, Margaret Campbell provides an overview of families with disabilities, their experiences and challenges, and the relationships between caregiving and family wellbeing.
