Dr. Bruce Hardy joined the Vanier Institute’s Board of Directors in June 2016.
A resident of Langley, British Columbia, Bruce is currently an associate faculty member at City University in Vancouver, where he teaches in the graduate program in counselling. He is a former Executive Director of Options Services to Communities Society, West Coast Family Resources Society and Chimo Crisis Center.
With over 30 years of experience in education and human services across Canada, Bruce also consults with human services agencies and he is an international accreditation reviewer for the Council on Accreditation.
Over the course of his career, Bruce completed a Ph.D. in Child and Youth Care at University of Victoria, as well as master’s degrees in Justice, Law and Ethics (Simon Fraser University), Liberal Studies (Simon Fraser University) and Educational Counselling (University of Manitoba).
In his spare time, Bruce is a Master Gardener for the VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver.
